The faculty's teaching areas are divided into 11 academic disciplines:
The faculty's academic programs include some of the highest-demand undergraduate
courses at QUT, with special-entry Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees, specialised
professional degrees and a new interdisciplinary Bachelor of Creative Industries.
Postgraduate coursework studies offer a strong conceptual and practical framework with graduate certificate, graduate diploma and masters courses. Honours programs are managed through the specialist discipline areas.
Research degrees, including the PhD and masters programs, are delivered through the faculty research office.
Research at the faculty is enhanced through its association with the Australasian Cooperative Research Centre for Interaction Design (ACID) and the Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence for Creative Industries and Innovation.
The Creative Industries Faculty is also the lead agency in the Institute for Creative Industries and Innovation (iCi) which is a new multi-faculty research institute at QUT.
