For staff
Welcome to Creative Industries at QUT, a faculty that attracts some of Queensland's
brightest and most creative talents as students and staff.
Founded in July 2001, the Creative Industries Faculty already has an
enviable record of achievement. We currently have around 120 full-time staff,
3000 students and a thriving culture of research, creative and project work.
Our undergraduate courses are some of the most sought-after in Queensland. We
are also home to the Australasian Cooperative Research Centre for Interaction Design (ACID), the Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence for Creative Industries and Innovation and the lead agency in the Institute for Creative Industries and Innovation (iCi).
You may have noticed that the Creative Industries structure is slightly different
from other faculties at QUT. The key difference is that our teaching areas
are divided into disciplines and are coordinated by a faculty-wide Academic
Programs directorate. Our research activities are also coordinated at a faculty
level by the Creative Industries Faculty Research Office. We
believe that this structure allows academic staff to take best advantage of
opportunities for interdisciplinary links and collaboration.
We understand that, as you're new to the faculty, it may take you some time
to navigate our structure and systems. So, please don't be afraid to seek help
and ask questions. Spend some time exploring the following websites:
